Hello Pod 6,

Thank you for sharing your well doned Interactive Learning Resource. Reading through your interactive learning resource, I like the way you clearly stated what each part is related by having a heading. Makes it easy to follow.

Structure:

Going over the whole document, it seems that all of the contents are put together one after another. As a reader, I do not know what I am reading next. It might be beneficial if a table of content with the page number can be included at the beginning. In addition, I like how you start the resource with a short overview to introduce the main topic.

Learning Outcomes:

I think the learning outcomes are listed clearly. As a learner, I could directly know what I am expected to learn in this course.

Brief commentary about each topic and activity:

I like how you divide whole content into 4 subtopics. However, I think it would be beneficial if you could introduce more for each subtopic. They could be videos and articles, which helps learners to know the content and understand the concept. By going over each topic, learners will be able to identify the questions in the learning activities, and be able to interact with them.

Interactive Activity:

I think forming groups to discuss thoughts and questions is a great activity. This is helpful for learners to discuss their thoughts with peers, and deepen understanding and memory in the process. Moving into the third activity, I have some concern about whether each learner picks a youtube video or the instructor picks one to show the learners?  Also, how is the activity implemented?  It might be better if you could give more detail.

Assessment Plan:

I think giving a traditional quiz is a great way to access learning outcomes. All questions are directly related to the learning outcomes. I liked that you also created a grading approach as to how many questions learners got right, which is straightforward. However, I wonder how much the grade of this quiz is worth towards the final grade?  I think if this quiz is worth all of the final grade, it would be more convincing to add more questions to each subtopic in order to assess learners’ learning outcomes. By thinking through more different questions,  learners will have a better idea of how well they meet the outcomes.

An overview of your plans to design for inclusion of diverse learners:

Going through the ILR, group activities seem to take a major part of this course. I wonder how this course is delivered. Is it an online course, face-to-face course or mixed?  A cooperative learning approach is applied in this course. If a single parent who can only take class online is a factor you consider, it would be beneficial to describe how the class and activities are taking place in the introduction. Are they held in video conferencing platforms like Zoom or are other platforms required?

Overall, I think the Korean K-pop is a fascinating topic to learn. Looking forward to seeing your final submission!
